Feed Store and More
The Business of the year award is nominated by our chamber members on remarkable criteria. To be nominated for this award, they must be a chamber member, demonstrate excellence in the community, and exemplify integrity, quality, and a positive reputation within the community.
The business chosen for this award meets and exceeds this criteria and so much more.
Alesia Stewart, Owner of Feed Store and More, was born in Freeport and raised in Brazoria, Texas, where she attended Columbia High School. She has two kids, five grandkids, one great-grandkid, and another on the way. She has always had a love and passion for animals since she could walk, and served in the FFA her whole Junior and High school career. She has been a horse trainer and worked in retail for over 40 years.
Her dream was to one day open and own her own business. This individual is no stranger to hard work and was determined to make it happen, even facing many struggles along the way.
On October 23, 2019, she was able to fulfil her dream by opening her own business to share it with the community and the ones she loves. She has a genuine passion for not only her business but also the community she serves. I believe she learned that from her parents, as she has always said they are her guiding light!
Any time you walk into her business, she will greet you with a smile, a hug, and she is guaranteed to make you laugh!
She selflessly helps whoever crosses her path and often has a hard time saying no. Her place is always open for the kids to come pet the animals or even fish in the pond.
Honestly, the list could go on and on about the unwavering support she has shown her community, and the true impact on the many lives, not only her own, but also the lives of those she has touched through her business, is admirable.
