Mr. Randy Harang
The Man of the Year award is presented to an individual who portrays characteristics such as leadership, involvement, hard work, and dedication throughout his community.
The person selected by member vote as the 2025 Man of the Year definitely has all those characteristics mentioned and more.
Even though he is too humble to admit it, this gentleman has served diligently within our community his whole life. Helping run a family-owned business since a young boy, to eventually taking it over as an adult. He has been involved in multiple organizations throughout Brazoria County, helping the Brazoria Chamber of Commerce, Brazoria Heritage Foundation, BCFA, along with many other organizations, for many years.
Whether it was donating money, an auction item, cooking, or volunteering his time, he has always been behind the scenes, making it happen. With all the dedication and service he offers to our community, he
is still able to offer the same dedication and service to his family.
Married to his wife, Susan, since 1981, they have been blessed with two children & three grandchildren. He retired from the Brazoria Lumber Yard and closed the doors in December of 2023. Brazoria Lumber Yard was one of the oldest businesses in town and also one of the first charter members of the Chamber.
Since his retirement, he has started a new business, CaHil Show Supply, where he continues his passion for helping people and his community. He is truly an asset and pillar to our community, striving to continue growth not only in our beautiful city, but also in our county.
